Abstract : | Abstract. An experiment was set up to monitor the evolution of the maturity, indicated by the weight loss and the firmness, of Sudanell and M. O'Henry peaches. The resonant frequency, measured with the acoustic impulse response technique, was used to determine the fruit firmness non-destructively. The test was evaluated for peaches by comparison with the destructive quasi-static parallel plate compression test. |
